The highly anticipated Los Angeles premiere of "Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé" kicked off Saturday at Samuel Goldwyn Theater at the headquarters of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Prior to the private screening, famous guests graced the chrome "Renaissance" coded carpet in their best looks, with most wearing black and silver. The film, which includes behind-the-scenes footage of the singer's 2023 Renaissance tour, opens Friday in theaters worldwide.
Beyoncé seemingly skipped the red carpet, and no images of Jay-Z or their children emerged on social media. The morning after the premiere, Donatella Versace shared a pair of portraits of the star in a sleek silver gown with matching silver gloves, her hair long, straight and platinum blonde.
"You are a vision in Versace. You are unique. One of one, the number one, the only one!!!" Versace wrote, using a reference from Beyoncé's "Unique." "I can’t wait to see the Renaissance tour movie."
Here's a look at some standout moments from the premiere's chrome carpet:
OG Destiny's Child reunited with LaTavis Roberson, LeToya Luckett in addition to Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams
Founding Destiny's Child members LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett were among the first celebrities to pose on the carpet. LaTavia and Luckett sang alongside Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé at the inception of the famed 1990s girl group.
The group eventually ended up as a trio with Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who were also in attendance. And it's safe to say the ladies did not not come to play. Williams' look was an absolute showstopper with her rocking an elaborate black dress with mesh around her calves. Rowland opted for a glamorous silver, textured dress.
Alien superstar arrives on the 'Renaissance' carpet
While most celebrities channeled their inner diva for the night, one iconic guest literally showed up as an alien superstar.
As fans know, Beyoncé's song "Alien Superstar" is all about being "that girl" and exuding confidence. While it's not clear who exactly donned the costume, it's fair to say they were a moment to remember.
A nod to LGBTQ+ culture
It's no surprise prominent members of the LGBTQ+ community were in attendance. Beyoncé pays homage to the community with the "Renaissance" album, which was inspired by her late Uncle Jonny. Many notable names showed up and showed out, including "RuPaul's Drag Race" star Shangela, LGBTQ+ advocate Laverne Cox, transgender actress Michaela Jaé Rodriguez and ballroom artist Honey Balenciga − one of the many breakout stars from the Renaissance world tour.
Who walked Beyoncé's 'Renaissance' carpet? Everyone from Lizzo to Gabrielle Union
The premiere brought out some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Tyler Perry, Issa Rae, Lizzo, Marsai Martin, Ava DuVernay, Coco Jones, Gabrielle Union, Victoria Monet, Janelle Monáe, Lena Waithe and Jeremy Pope.
Chloe and Halle Bailey, Natalia and Vanessa Bryant, Normani, Winnie Harlow, Kris Jenner, Corey Gamble and many others also made sure not to miss one of the biggest nights of the year. The famed guests stunned in their renditions of the "cozy opulence' dress code of the night.
The global superstar will hold another premiere in London on Thursday with the attire being "upscale opulence."
